DO IT Organic supplies organic ingredients and retail products to customers in the United Kingdom on a daily basis. Since Brexit, the UK is no longer part of the European Union, meaning different customs and import procedures apply compared to EU deliveries. Thanks to our experience in the UK market and long-standing logistics partners, we ensure reliable, transparent, and professionally managed deliveries to England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

We manage the entire process—from export from the Netherlands to final delivery at your location in the UK. Logistics, documentation, and transportation are carefully coordinated, allowing you to purchase with confidence and without unnecessary delays.

How we deliver to the United Kingdom

Deliveries to the UK are handled as export shipments. This means customs formalities apply on both the Dutch and British sides. DO IT Organic manages the export process from the Netherlands and works with specialized partners for import clearance in the UK.

Depending on order size, agreements, and incoterms, we deliver via:

  • Scheduled road transport using fixed routes to the United Kingdom
  • Deliveries based on Delivered (DDP/DDU) or Collect agreements
  • Direct delivery to warehouse, production site, or distribution center

In certain cases, orders are supplied from a local DO IT Organic depot in the United Kingdom. These deliveries do not involve export from the Netherlands and follow a different logistical flow.

What you can expect as a customer

When delivering to the United Kingdom, you can rely on a professionally organized export process with clear communication regarding lead times, documentation, and responsibilities. Benefits include:

  • Expertise in UK import regulations for organic products
  • Collaboration with trusted customs and transport partners
  • Clear alignment on incoterms and cost structure (Read everything about Incoterms here)
  • Full traceability of products and shipments
  • Consistent quality and certified organic ingredients

Due to additional customs procedures, delivery times to the UK are generally slightly longer than within the EU. We clearly communicate expected lead times in advance.

What we require from our customers

To ensure smooth UK deliveries, proper preparation is essential. We ask our customers to provide:

  • Accurate and complete company and billing information
  • A valid UK EORI number (if applicable)
  • Clear agreements regarding incoterms and delivery terms
  • Timely approval of draft documents when required

The customer remains responsible for complying with local import regulations and any additional requirements within the United Kingdom.

Documentation and customs clearance

Export and import documentation is required for deliveries to the UK. Depending on the product, order value, and agreements, this may include:

  • Export documentation (EX-A / export declaration)

  • Commercial invoice and customs invoice

  • Organic documentation in accordance with UK legislation

  • Additional certificates if required

Costs may apply for the export and import documents. These can be found in the shopping cart under “EX-1 (EX-A)”. Draft versions of official documents are shared for approval where applicable. Final documents are sent securely and in a traceable manner.

All products supplied to the United Kingdom are certified organic and comply with applicable European and UK regulations. Our supply chain is fully traceable from origin to delivery, ensuring compliance and meeting the expectations of your customers.
